7o Dia antes de Navidad

Now that you know how to make the glitter candle, you may want to give it as a gift like that, (every time I gave a glitter candle as a gift, people love it),  or you can go to the next level. An ornament for the table.

Ahora que sabes cómo hacer una vela con diamantina, es posible que desees darla como  regalo (cada vez que regalo una vela con diamantina, le encanta a la gente), o  puedes ir al siguiente nivel. Un arreglo para la mesa.


You will need:

Glitter candle
One base
Floral foam
Foliage
Ornaments


Necesitaras:

Vela con diamantina
Una base
Espuma floral
Follaje
Adornos

Put the floral foam on the base and them arrange the foliage and the ornaments. Is easy and looks very nice, plus you are going to be done in less than 20 minutes!.

Pon la espuma floral en la base y arregla el follaje y los adornos.  Es facil y muy lucidor, ademas de que lo habras terminado en menos de 20 minutos!



6th DAY OF CHRISTMAS

6to Dia antes de Navidad

For today I made a super easy candle that looks really nice.

Para hoy hice una vela que es super facil de hacer pero se ve muy bien.

You will need:

A candle
Glue or liquid porcelain
Glitter
A brush


Necesitaras:

Una vela
Pegamento blanco o porcelana liquida
Diamantina
Un pincel

Cover the candle with the glue.

Cubre la vela con el pegamento.

Then cover it with the glitter.

Luego cubrelo con la diamantina.



Let it dry and you have a festive candle to use it at home or to give it as a gift.

Dejalo secar y tendras una vela muy festiva para usarla en tu casa o como regalo.

5th DAY OF CHRISTMAS

5to Dia antes de Navidad

By the fifth day I made a mini villa, using a box of eye shadows,  I covered it with blue paper with white dots and white paper for the top and the base.

Para el quinto día hice una mini villa, utilizando una caja donde venian unas sombras para ojos, la cubrí con papel azul con puntos blancos en el fondo y papel blanco para el cielo y el suelo

Then I made some small houses with paper.

Luego hice unas casitas con papel.

And some trees with a punch, I cut four pieces for each, fold them in half and glue them together to gave them dimension.

Y algunos árboles con una perforadora, corte cuatro piezas para cada uno, los doble por la mitad y los pegue para darles dimensión.

And this is the result.

Y este es el resultado.



4TH DAY OF CHRISTMAS

4to dia antes de Navidad


For today, I prepared a tradicional drink from Puerto Rico, they called it "Coquito" and as in many tradicional recipies every family has their own.  This is the one that my friend gave me many years ago, and I take it as a gift for the hostess everywhere I go during Christmas season.  Is just a hit!.

Para hoy, prepare una bebida tradicional de Puerto Rico, le llaman "Coquito" y como en muchas recetas tradicionales, cada familia tiene una.  Esta me la dio una amiga hace muchos años y la llevo como regalo para la anfitriona a todos los lugares que me invitan durante la epoca de Navidad. Siempre es un exito!

 

You will need:

32 onz. coconut milk

8 onz. coconut cream 

8 onz. condensed milk

8 onz. evaporated milk

2 Tbps. Vanilla

1/8 tsp. nutmeg.

Mix everything and pour the mix in a bottle.  serve it cold.

Necesitaras

1 litro de leche de coco

1 lata de crema de coco

1 lata de leche condensada

1 lata de leche descremada

2 cucharadas de vainilla

1/8 de cucharadita de nuez moscada

Mezcla todo y pasalo a una botella. Sirvelo frio.

3RD DAY OF CHRISTMAS

3er dia antes de Navidad.

For the third day I thought of a sugar scrub, because we all need it, especially with this cold weather, it is practical, inexpensive and very easy to make. Is an excellent gift for anyone on our list.

Para el  tercer día pensé en un azúcar exfoliante, porque todos lo necesitamos, especialmente con este clima muy frío, es práctico, barato y muy fácil de hacer.  Es un excelente regalo para cualquier persona en nuestra lista.

You will need:

2 cups of sugar
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/4 cup of lavender oil
1 tbs vanilla

Necesitaras:

2 tazas de azúcar
1/2 taza de aceite de coco
1/4 taza de aceite de lavanda
1 cucharada de vainilla

Mix everything and you are ready to put it in a jar.

Mezcla todo y estas lista para ponerlo en un frasco.

Now you just need to decorate it and your gift is ready.

Ahora solo decora el frasco y tu regalo esta listo.

2nd DAY OF CHRISTMAS.

2do Dia antes de Navidad

For the second day I made a candle holder for every day at dinner time.

Para el segundo dia, hice un porta vela, para cualquier dia a la hora de la cena.

You need to cut 8 pieces of cardstock that measures 8 1/2' x 1".

Necesitas cortar 8 piezas de cartulina que midan 8 1/2" x 1"

Punch a hole  at 1/2" of each end.

Perfora un agujero a la altura de 1/2" en cada uno de los lados.

Put together the 8 pieces of cardstock using a brad.

Unelas usando un sujetador de papeles.

Put apart every piece in order to form a "ball".

Separa las tiras y froma una "pelota".

Next cut 2 pices of red cardstock that measures 8 1/2' x 1".

Luego corta 2 piezas de cartulina roja que mida 8 1/2" x 1".

Using your envelope board, puch in the midle of both sides in both pieces.

Usando tu tablilla para hacer sobres, perfora en la mitad por ambos lados en las dos piezas.

Puch the ends of one of the pieces as shown.


Perfora los finales de una de las piezas como se muestra.

And the other as follows.

Y la otra como sigue.

Your pieces are going to look like these.

Tus piezas luciran asi.

Glue the pieces to form a bow.

Pega las piezas para formar un moño.

Glue it on the top of your ball, you can put a battery operated candle and you have a cute candle holder to use during the season.

Pegalo en la parte de arriba de tu pelota, puedes poner una velita de baterias adentro y usarlo durante la temporada.

Twinchies Swap, Christmas theme.

Well, as we know a Twinchie.- Is art in 2" x 2" light chipboard, glue each in pattern paper (both sides) and embellish them. You can use paint, glitter, etc.

Here is a tutorial, to help you get inspire.

First I cut pieces 2" x 2" from a cereal box.



Bueno, como sabemos una "Twinchie".; Es arte en un cuadro de carton de 2" x 2", al cual se le pega papel decorado por ambos lados y se decoran.  Puedes usar pintura, diamantina, etc.
