Kids are at home, is almost Christmas and you still need to prepare some things for the great day.  well I have a quick idea to keep the kids busy and have a nice detail for your family.

Los chicos estan en casa, es casi Navidad y tu todavia tienes que preparar algunas cosas para el gran dia,  bueno, aqui te dejo una pequeña idea para mantenerlos ocupados y al mismo tiempo que puedas tener un lindo detalle con la familia.

If you've visited my blog, you've probably noticed that I love cards and I'm always trying to do them in a different way,  I made this today to participate in one of the challenges of Latinas Arts and Crafts blog, (You can find the tutorial in their blog) 

I liked  it because not only you can use it as a card, I think it will looks great on a lay out.

Si haz visitado mi blog, te habrás dado cuenta que me encantan las tarjetas y siempre trato de hacerlas de una manera diferente, tal como lo hice hoy.  Esta es para participar en uno de los retos de Latinas Arts and Crafts blog, ( puedes encontrar el tutorial en su blog).  

Me gustó, porque no sólo se puede utilizar como una tarjeta, creo que tambien se vera muy linda en un Lay out..

Peek-a-boo Card

This card was made for the challenge of Latinas Arts and Crafts' blog.  The challenge is to make a dynamic card, something with movement, so I thought this would be a good option.

Esta tarjeta fue hecha para el reto del blog  Latinas Arts and Crats.  El desafío consiste en hacer una tarjeta dinámica, con movimiento, así que pensé que esta sería una buena opción.

This is the inside, when you open it. you reveal a different message from the one you can see trough the window.

Este es el interior, al abrirla descubres un mensaje diferente al que se puede ver a través de la ventana.

I made this card for the daughter of a friend of mine and the truth is that I love all that you can do with this type of card, so surely you will see more of them in my blog.


Hice esta tarjeta para la hija de una amiga mía y la verdad es que me encanta todo lo que se puede hacer con este tipo de tarjeta, por lo que seguramente veras más de ellas en mi blog.

This will be a very small post since I have already put a tutorial to make these kind of cards, though here I leave another option, in which I used Stephanie Barnard's Hot4balloons stamps.

This card is part of the Gallery of Stamps for life and I think it really looks great.

I love these cards and apparently everybody loves them too, but what happen when you need to make a lot of them?  you may need a lot of time, too.  Here I have a short cut to make them in 5 minutes or less.

Me encantan estas tarjetas y al parecer todo el mundo las ama tambien, pero que pasa si tienes que hacer muchas de ellas? necesitaras mucho tiempo para terminarlas, Aqui te voy a compartir un truco para hacerlas en 5 minutos o menos.

After I post my shadow box, I received some emails asking me for the tutorial, so here it is, I just make it in a form of a card, but basically they are the same instructions.


Despues de haber publicado mi caja "shadow box" recibi algunos correos electronicos pidiendome las instrucciones para hacerla, asi que aqui estan.  Esta vez la hice en forma de tarjeta, pero basicamente son las mismas instrucciones.

As a pet lover you know that your little ones, always want to be with you, and as I have a lot of friends that have pets and that they are like their kids, I create this card just for them.

Y para celebrarlo voy a continuar con mi serie de tarjetas para el dia de la madre.

Como amante de los animales, se que ellos siempre quieren estar con uno y como tengo muchas amigas que quieren a sus mascotas como  a sus hijos, diseñe esta tarjeta pensando en ellas.

Today I made an easy card for one of my friends that loves to watch TV.

Hoy hice una tarjeta sencilla para una amiga que ama ver television.

First took a piece of paper that measures 6.75 "x 4.75". Score it at 3.4 / 8 "and fold it in half, but you can use the card size you want. 

Toma una pieza de papel de 10.15 cm x 15.25 cm, marca  la mitad (5.8 cm) y dobla,  tu puedes usar una tarjeta del tamaño que quieras.

Cut a tv with a die from tv2stamp set, from "Stamps of life" by  Stephanie Barnard. 

Luego corta un suaje con la forma de televisor, del set tv2love de  "Stamps of life" de  Stephanie Barnard. 

Cut the second piece of paper at 3 3/8 "x 2 3/4" and score it at the longer side at 1/4 ", 3/4", 2 5 "and 3".

Corta una segunda pieza de  8.5 cm x 7 cm y  marca en 1 cm, 2 cm, 6.5 cm y 7.5 cm.

Fold the paper and put a picture in the middle part.

Dobla el papel y pon una foto en la parte de enmedio.

If you want you can put a piece of acrylic to cover the screen.

Si lo deseas puedes poner una pieza de acrilico para cubrir la pantalla.

 With the second piece of paper and the die cut form a box, (sorry, I forgot to take a picture) decorate it and place it in the card. as shown.

Con la segunda pieza de papel y el suaje forma una caja (lo siento, olvide sacar la foto) decora y pegala en la tarjeta como se muestra.

This is a collapsible card, so is easy to put in an envelope an mail it.

Esta tarjeta puede ser colapsada, asi que es muy sencillo ponerla en un sobre y enviarla por correo.

Mother's Day is around the corner and I want to share some of the cards that I will give to my friends. Is it happened to you that when your friends know that you are a crafter, they expect a better card each time? so this time the gift will be included in it. Here is the first.

Día de la Madre está a la vuelta de la esquina, asi que quiero compartir algunas de las tarjetas que voy a dar a mis amigas. ¿Te ha pasado que cuando tus amigos saben que eres es un artesano, esperan una mejor tarjeta cada vez? En  esta ocasion el regalo será incluido en el misma. Aquí está la primera.

You will need a piece of paper that measures 3" x 8.5"  and score it at at 1", 4", 5" and 8" with this piece you will make the box.

Necesitaras una pieza que mida 8 x 21.5 cm y marca en 2.5, 10, 12.5 y 20 cm, con esta pieza vas a formar la caja.

For the easel part, you may need a piece of 3" x 6", score it at 1.5" and 3". Cut another piece of 3" x 3" and glue it as shown in the picture.

Para la parte de arriba, necesitars una pieza de 6 x 7.5 , marca en 4 y 7.5 cm.  Corta otra pieza de 8 x 8 cm y pegala de acuerdo a como se muestra en la foto.

For the drawer you will need a piece that measures 4 7/8" x 4 7/8"  and score it at 1" in each side.

Para el cajon necesitaras una pieza de papel que mida 12 x 12 cmy marca en 2.5 cm en cada uno de los lados.

Cut and glue as shown to make the drawer.

Corta y pega como se muestra para hacer el cajon.

To decorate it you will need 4 pieces of 2 3/4" x 3/4".

Para decorarla necesitaras 4 piezas de 7  x  2 cm.

And 2 of  2 3/4" x 2 3/4".

Y 2 de 7 x 7 cm.

To adorn it, I took a die cut piece and punched a circle so I can put a little mirrow.

Para adornarla use una pieza suajada y con una perforadora hice un circulo para poder poner en el centro un  espejito.

I used a Tim Holtz's hitch fastener as a handler for the drawer.

Use un cierre de acoplamiento de Tim Holtz como manija para el cajon.

I finished my "little vanity box" with a flower and a butterfly.

Termine mi "pequeño tocardor" con una flor y una mariposa.
